The Downeaster platform in Durham is outdoors and available for all Downeaster arrivals and departures. The platform is located on the campus of the University of New Hampshire (UNH), adjacent to the UNH Dairy Bar Restaurant which is open Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm with access to restrooms. Closed Saturdays and Sundays. The Amtrak self-service ticketing kiosk is located in a vestibule attached to the Dairy Bar and open 6:00am to 11:00pm daily.

Metered/permit parking is available in the adjacent Town-operated Depot Street Lot for $1.50 per hour or $18 per day (up to 5 days).

Campus Connector offers free rides on fixed routes around town and campus. The boarding stops are <500' from the platform.
Wildcat Transit connects Durham-UNH to Dover, Madbury, Newington, and Portsmouth. $1.50/ride or free to UNH ID holders.
Walk to the University of New Hampshire’s campus. The Durham downtown retail district is within a quarter-mile of the platform.
